Nature of the department in brief-Department of Botany established to bring importance in the area of economic productivity because it is involved in the study of crops and ideal growing techniques that help farmers increase crop yield. The study of plants is also important in environment protection. The department are very much adhere to make aware of students belonging to tribal areas about the importance of wild vegetable in terms of economic as they are rarely available in urban markets. The departments run both Theory and Practical syllabus prescribed by University of Mumbai.
