ABOUT US

“Shikshak Sanchalit Shikshan Sanstha”, Wada is an educational, social and cultural institute registered under society registration act started its operation in 1968 by late Shri. S. P. Kulkarni. Is an institute which is run by a few dedicated and selfless teachers which is situated at Wada, Palghar, Maharashtra, India. We believe in bringing social and cultural change through value education and service to the society. We have undertaken the task of educating the most uncared human beings of our society, especially tribal students of remote forested area inhabited of known Wada, Vikramgarh and Dahanutahsils of Palghar - a Tribal district. In the tribal belt of Palghar district, 80% tribal populace are below poverty level. We have been starving to educate in order to uplift these tribal and other backward human being through mainstream society despite of tremendous constrains.

Wada is a Taluka in the Palghar District of the State of Maharashtra. The biggest challenge at such places is that education comes at a distant number when it comes to the basics of life. An educational institute's survival in rural areas is difficult because even free education does not find true seekers.With such humongous challenges on hand, ShikshakSanchalitShikshanSanstha (a fifty-year-old trust) runs a degree college Dr ShantilalDhanjiDevsey Arts College & Commerce & Science College, Wada, affiliated with Mumbai University.The prime intention of this college is to provide quality education to the most deprived section of society – the tribals, at very nominal fees and also provide various scholarship facilities to such students. There are very few organisations that work for the upliftment of the tribal community of our country and it's a proud feeling to share that ShikshakSanchalitShikshanSanstha is one of the pioneers for tribal development. This trust firmly believes that education plays a pivotal role in the development of these people in a real sense.
